Adriana Babin is a Moldovan-born pan flutist celebrated for her extraordinary talent and artistry. A laureate of multiple international competitions, Adriana has captivated audiences around the globe with her virtuosic performances and expressive interpretations.
Adriana’s musical journey began early; at just eight years old, she performed as a soloist with a national folk orchestra. She is a graduate of the prestigious “Ciprian Porumbescu” Music Lyceum in Chisinau, where she studied under Professor Ion Negura. Adriana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interpretative Music from the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași, Romania. She has also completed advanced studies in pan flute performance at the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam” in the Netherlands and the Conservatory of Fine Arts in Chisinau, Moldova.
Throughout her career, Adriana has won numerous accolades, including the Grand Prix at the “Orpheus” competition in Romania and first prizes in competitions across Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, and Bulgaria.
Adriana has performed with prestigious orchestras such as the Junge Sinfonie Berlin Orchestra under Marie Jacquot, Orchestre National de France, Moldovan Youth Orchestra, Moldovan Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of the Organ Hall in Chisinau. She was invited to star in Rolando Villazón’s “Stars von Morgen” and has graced the stage of “Un Violon Sur le Sable” in Royan, France, where she performed for an audience of 50,000 with the Paris Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jérôme Pillement.
Her festival appearances include Aldeburgh Festival in York, UK; Les Étoiles du Classique in Saint-Germain, France, where she shared the stage with the legendary pianist Martha Argerich; Clé de Soleil Festival in Lille, France; and many others.
Adriana’s commitment to social causes is equally remarkable. She collaborates with major charity foundations, including the “Vladimir Spivakov” International Charity Foundation and the “ArtaVie” Charity Foundation, founded by her compatriot Alexandra Conunova. As a longstanding member of the Spivakov Foundation, Adriana has performed in numerous concerts and was invited as a soloist to the “Moscow Meets Friends” Festival by Maestro Spivakov. Through the ArtaVie Foundation, she has brought classical music to underserved communities, enriching the lives of those with limited access to the arts.
In recognition of her exceptional achievements, Adriana was awarded a scholarship by the President of the Moldovan Parliament and received a prestigious award from the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Moldova for her outstanding contributions to promoting her country’s cultural image on the international stage.
